scientific events
In order to foster debate and the advancement of science, ICABM, IWTHM and IWAT were created. These are events of scientific nature and are held, interspersed and annually, at the premises of ISAG-EBS. Under the partnership protocol established between the two institutions, CICET now assumes responsibility for the organization and management of these events.
INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE OF APPLIED BUSINESS AND MANAGEMENT (ICABM)
The International Conference on Management and Business has as main objectives to encourage debate and foster the sharing of scientific knowledge in the various areas of management, namely: accounting, economics, marketing, hospitality, industrial management, human resources, innovation or tourism.
The Organizing Committee seeks to present a scientific program with a strong multidisciplinary character, to increase the levels of scientific knowledge about management, in a transversal perspective and also to promote the collaboration and networking of the present researchers.
ICABM has already four editions, and the next one will take place on 2024.
INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP OF TOURISM AND HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT (IWTHM)
The International Workshop in Tourism and Hotel Management (IWTHM) has the following main objectives:
- To make known the new trends in the tourism and hotel market;
- To provide the training of students of hotel and tourism management courses in innovative themes presented under multiple approaches;
- To create a high-level scientific discussion forum for research and sharing of experiences and knowledge in the hotel and tourism sector;
- To disseminate good practices in the hospitality and tourism sector in order to contribute to the qualification of the national offer.
The IWTHM has already three editions, with the next one will take place on 12th of May of 2023.
INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP OF ACCOUNTing AND TAXATION (IWAT)
The International Workshop in Accounting and Finance (IWAT) is the most recent event created by CICET-FCVC in partnership with ISAG-EBS. The main thematics areas of this Scientific Worskshop are Accounting and Finance, and its main objectives are the following:
- To raise awareness of recent developments in the areas of accounting and taxation;
- To provide training to accounting and tax students in innovative topics presented under multiple approaches;
- To create a high-level scientific discussion forum for research and sharing of experiences and knowledge in the field of accounting and taxation;
- To disseminate good practices in the accounting and tax sector in order to contribute to the qualification of the national offer.
IWAT had its first edition in June 2021, and the next edition is scheduled for 17th of February of 2023.
